ABSTRACT

—— Poor job satisfaction is a global concern. The combined influence of teacher workload and professional identity on job satisfaction was determined. Through diagnostic research design, the data from 207 respondents, selected through stratified random sampling, were analyzed using multiple regression analysis. It was found that teacher workload and professional identity significantly influence job satisfaction, with professional identity exerting a stronger effect, partially supporting the Demands–Resources (JD-R) Theory. Future research may explore additional variables and qualitative approaches, while interventions should strengthen teachers’ professional identity and improve workload management to support SDG 4.
