ABSTRACT

—— Student motivation rapidly declined. The mediating role of parental involvement on the relationship between student preparedness to learn and motivation was verified. Through predictive design, the data from 218 respondents selected through proportionate stratified random sampling were analyzed using mediation analysis. Results showed that parental involvement partially mediates the relationship between student preparedness to learn and motivation, partly supporting Social Cognitive Theory. Future studies may explore other mediators, while school leaders may strengthen parental involvement to enhance the impact of preparedness to learn on student motivation.
