—— Breastfeeding is a natural and beneficial way to nourish infants, providing numerous health benefits for both the mother and child. However, it can also present various challenges that may require support from healthcare professionals, family, and society. In this study, six mothers from Dipolog City were selected as participants to examine the lived experiences of breastfeeding mothers: a phenomenological study. Face-to-Face interview was conducted to gather pertinent data and information. The data were analyzed using the data analysis of Moustaka. The findings revealed that breastfeeding offers numerous benefits to both the mother and the baby, beyond just the provision of essential nutrients and development, it also provides not only essential nutrition for the baby, but it also creates a unique opportunity for emotional bonding and connection between mother and child and lastly breastfeeding mothers overcame initial challenges such as nipple sores and uneven breast size with determination and the invaluable support of healthcare providers and caring partners. In conclusion, this study provides important about the lived experiences of breastfeeding mothers. It highlights the importance of healthcare providers to prioritize educating expectant mothers on breastfeeding techniques and provide ongoing support throughout the breastfeeding journey.
