ABSTRACT

——The study’s primary objective was to investigate the relationship between the Adversity Quotient and the work performance of Administrative Officers in the City Government of Mabalacat during the Academic Year 2024-2025. The study involved the participation of Administrative Officers assigned to all departmental units within the City Government of Mabalacat. A total of 40 permanent Administrative Officers served as respondents. This study employed a quantitative method, utilizing a descriptive-correlational research design. The gathered data were analyzed using statistical methods such as frequency and percentage, the Pearson Chisquare test, and Pearson’s correlation coefficient (r). Based on the findings, 32.5% of the respondents comprised the largest proportion of employees with 7-8 years of employment. Most respondents (53.33%) obtained a high adversity quotient, interpreted as climbers. A significant relationship was found between respondents’ adversity quotient levels and years of employment. 67.50% received a very satisfactory rating in their work performance. On the other hand, 32.50% were classified as outstanding. A significant relationship was found between the adversity quotient and respondents’ work performance. The proposed RISE-UP Program (Resilience and Adversity Quotient Enhancement for Sustainable and Productive Public Service) is a practicable approach for institutionalizing resilience building practices.
